In chapter 6 I think the most interesting thing I read was about how to write an efficient paper. After taking the online quizzes I realized how helpful the library could be so useful. In chapter 6 the whole chapter told the reader how to write a paper step by step and how to research online. This chapter will definitely help everyone out especially with our paper coming up. This chapter was somewhat similar to the online tutorial because it taught us what we needed to know about the online process and how to use it to our best advantages. The online tutorial opened my eyes to how resourceful the website could be and how I do not have to go to the library in order to research a certain topic. In chapter 6 it also says “it is a good idea to ask a reference librarian at your library for help in carrying out your research”. (pg 155) This quote is really true because the librarians know best about which method is best for your topic. Not only do we have to research online but we can find any resource that could help us, such as journals, maps, encyclopedias and even local organizations too. Online there are also many websites that describe the research process which would definitely help students like us. On this website, Find and Develop a Research Topic, I found gave a lot of advice such as “if you are finding too much information and too many sources, narrow your topic by using and operator” All three sources that I have read today have told me the exact same thing and I think those are definitely going to help me out in the future

Santa Clara handyman found guilty after 30 years.
After 30 years, Mary Quigley’s mother has finally had her dreams come true, which was to have the murder and rapist of her daughter be proven guilty. Until Monday the jury found Archibeque guilty of first-degree murder and raping his former classmate, Quigley. She was found strangled to a fence by her sash she wore that day and stripped nude except for her socks and shoes. Witnesses were able to identify Archibeque more easily as the murder and rapist because of his glass eye. The evidence of Archibeque’s semen convinced the jury that he was guilty and that he will face a lifetime in person due to his past actions. Many people who knew Archibeque always thought he was the strange one and thought he was always the odd ball out of all the people in the glass. During the 30 years Archibeque was a free man he dropped out of high school and spent 3 years in prison for raping another 16 year old girl. He also worked at Pizza Hut and became a handy man for his mother’s four rental properties. Since Archibeque raped and murder Quigley in 1977, he will have to abide by the 1977 rules which would be a life in prison instead of abiding by today’s rules which is a minimum of 25 years in jail. It is good to know that people have not given up on this case after 30 years. Without witnesses and evidence Archibeque would still be roaming around Santa Clara and who knows, maybe go back to his own ways and rape another 16-year old.
